From the first idea to the final sample, I believe great footwear comes from thoughtful design, careful refinement and a clear understanding of the customer.

  • Every collection starts long before the first CAD.

    I love the work behind the work - researching, sketching, refining silhouettes and asking the questions that shape stronger collections before development begins. It's about finding the right direction early, balancing trend insight with what makes sense for your customer and your brand.

  • The details are what make a design work.

    Once the direction is clear, I refine concepts into development-ready product through CAD, material direction and construction detailing. Every decision is considered carefully, balancing creativity with commercial thinking to create products that are both beautiful and ready to be made.

  • A design rarely finishes where it started.

    From first sketch through to final sample, I work closely with suppliers to refine each design. Whether it's reviewing samples, improving fit, refining construction or solving development challenges, my focus is always on bringing the original design intent to life.

  • I believe the best work comes from good collaboration. Whether I'm supporting an existing product function or supporting key stages within the design and development process, I enjoy working closely with people to bring ideas to life.

Kim is a women's footwear designer specialising in contemporary heels.

With over 14 years' experience in design and product development, including the last 8 years specialising in women's footwear, I've worked across both brands and suppliers, helping turn ideas into commercially considered products.

What I enjoy most is the work behind the work - researching, sketching, refining proportions and solving the small design decisions that shape a stronger final product long before the first sample arrives.

Whether I'm exploring a new concept or refining an existing style, my approach is always the same: thoughtful design, clear communication and a genuine love for creating beautiful footwear that people want to wear.
